Our adventures in South Australia has got us questioning everything. Stunning coastal camps, diverse landscapes, quiet camp getaways in nature… and we’re only half way through our journey into the state! We thought WA was amazing (and it is), but SA has really opened our mind. If this is only a taste of the state, with places like the Flinders Ranges to come, then surely we have a rival to WA on our hands? In a many ways, there’s a lot of similarities between the two states. Maybe we can call it a tie? What do you think? Let us know in the comments. In Part 5 things didn't quite go to plan... Our Ranger awning takes a beating and we find setting up on the beach a little challenging. All part of the adventure right? We make our way to the quarantine checkpoint in South Australia and a visit to the Pink Lake at Lake Macdonnell and onto a quite camp at Mexican Hat in Fowlers Bay, providing a stunning base to explore the coastline in the Ranger. Overnighter camping at Wellington Dam and tackling the Lennard Track with Mark in the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and Brett in the Ford Everest. The track offers something for the 4WD novice and more experienced off-roaders. Bash plates are a must in some places and strongly suggest all-terrain tyres for the Lennard 4x4 Hill Climb. Camping at Potters Gorge offers spacious sites on the shore of the Wellington Dam. Highly recommended.
